Clemens Construction completed the renovation of a historic building at the Overbrook School for the Blind, enhancing accessibility while preserving its architectural character. The project included the construction of a new entry ramp and lobby to create a more welcoming and ADA-compliant entrance, along with the installation of an elevator to improve vertical circulation. Seven public restrooms were renovated to better accommodate the needs of students, faculty, and visitors.
A key feature of the renovation was the transformation of the second-floor rotunda connector, where a custom wood platform was constructed to level the flooring, complemented by a guardrail for safety. These upgrades ensure a more seamless and navigable environment for the school community, reflecting Clemens Construction’s dedication to thoughtful, high-quality improvements in historic and educational settings.
