Clemens Teams with GBCA and ACE Mentor Program for MLK Day of Service

For the third year in a row, Clemens teamed with the GBCA and the ACE Mentor Program for the MLK Day of Service.

Students and mentors from the ACE Mentor Program, along with volunteers and professionals from Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Woodland Building Supply and City Councilwoman Cherelle Parker’s Office built picnic tables and benches that will enhance the quality of life for users of the Houseman Playground Recreation Center. The new seating will become part of the main entrance and pool area and will help increase community interaction. Further, it will allow for better supervision of the children using the playground.

Stephen Pouppirt, President of Clemens Construction Company shared, “As one of the leading general contractors in Philadelphia and a member of the GBCA, we have partnered with the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Philadelphia, Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters and Woodland Building Supply to leverage the skills of our firm to bring refreshed community amenities to Philadelphia neighborhoods." We do this in answer to Dr. King’s question, 'What are you doing for others?'"
