Clemens Construction converted an existing 17,000 square foot warehouse into a state-of-the art cannabis cultivation and processing facility in New Jersey.
This technically challenging project featured specialized and sophisticated systems to meet the operational requirements of the client’s program. The operating parameters of this facility require environmental systems that maintain tight control of temperature, humidity, light, water, CO2 and air flow. Emergency power systems are required to maintain security, life safety systems and to keep the crop alive for the duration of a power outage.
Project Highlights:
“Box within a Box” construction for grow rooms that utilize insulated wall panels to allow for differential pressurization and climate of adjoining spaces.
Four distinct growing zones, each with differing and specific environmental parameters that are fully programable.
The Mechanical systems included 8 specialized AHUs, DOAS unit, humidification, VRV systems and BAS controls.
System capability to monitor and maintain VPD (vapor pressure deficit) at the surface of the plant.
Supplemental CO2 to provide an Enriched CO2 environment to stimulate plant growth.
Air scrubbers minimize odors associated with exhaust air.
Reverse osmosis water treatment with a 10,000-gallon storage tank
Comprehensive irrigation and fertigation system controllable through the BAS system
Comprehensive lighting controls and LED fixtures controllable through the BAS system
400kW emergency generator and ATS system
Security, access control, cameras, and AV systems.
